Steamboat-Winter

There are so many great towns/cities in Colorado that have outstanding ski areas or winter activities. Here are my personal favorite. #1... For number one i have to say my hometown Steamboat Springs. The ski mountain is famous for our snow. The snow in Steamboat is called Champagne Powder. It is the lightest, the softest, and the most fun type of snow and you can only find it in the boat. To go along with our stunning snow conditions we have some of the best tree skiing in the world. There are three main peaks in Steamboat. Each are filled with tree  runs filled to the brim with powder. Steamboat has much more to offer than just the ski mountain as well. We have snow tubing at Saddleback Moutain Ranch and downtown at Howlsen Hill. The town of Steamboat has plenty to offer too. It is a nice small town with an older look to it. You have tons of local hot spots like the Gondola Pub and Grill and there is plenty of night life at places like the Ghost Ranch Saloon. The Ghost Ranch is themed as an old western bar. Every week they have a night of swing dancing. It's a total blast. So that's why Steamboat Springs is the #1 place to see in the winter time in Colorado.
